The Challenge
FinStack is a fast-growing fintech SaaS company. They had a classic growth problem: they were spending heavily on paid acquisition but had no clear picture of what was working. Ad budgets across Google, LinkedIn, and Meta were burning on audiences that were too broad, landing pages that were not built to convert, and a reporting setup that could not tell a qualified lead from a casual click.
The result was predictable. Customer acquisition cost was rising every month. The sales team complained about lead quality. The growth team was making decisions on gut feel instead of data.
Our Approach
We treated this as a full-stack growth problem, not just an ads problem, and rebuilt the acquisition engine from strategy to attribution.
1. Audience and Channel Strategy
We audited 6 months of historical ad data and interviewed the sales team about their best-fit customers. From that we built precise audience personas, cut 70% of the existing targeting overlap, and restructured campaigns around three distinct buyer segments: solo founders, finance leads at mid-market SaaS companies, and CFOs at growth-stage startups. Each segment got its own messaging, creative, and landing destination.
2. Landing Page Suite
Generic homepages do not convert paid traffic. We built a suite of five purpose-built landing pages in Next.js. One per audience segment, plus dedicated pages for each channel. Every page was built around a single conversion action, with social proof, objection-handling copy, and CTAs tested across two variants before launch. Hotjar heatmaps ran from day one so we could iterate fast.
3. Ad Creative Library
We produced a full creative library: 40+ ad variants across static, motion, and copy-first formats. Creatives spoke directly to financial pain points like wasted spend, slow close rates, and messy reporting. We A/B tested them by segment from the first week of launch.
4. Attribution and Analytics Infrastructure
With GA4, HubSpot, and a custom attribution model, every rupee of ad spend was traceable from click to closed deal. The growth team finally had a single dashboard showing CAC by channel, lead quality scores, and pipeline contribution. That gave them the confidence to scale what was working and cut what was not.
The Results
Within the first quarter after launch:
- 5x ROAS. Every rupee spent returned five in attributed pipeline.
- CAC dropped 60%. Precision targeting cut wasted spend overnight.
- Qualified leads increased 120%. Better landing pages and audience segmentation raised the bar.
- ₹2.8Cr in pipeline generated in Q1. The single strongest quarter in FinStack's history.
Performance marketing is now a predictable, scalable acquisition channel for FinStack. Not a cost centre.
