How we picked the comparison criteria

  1. 01

Total cost for 50,000 messages per month

Marketing template fees, utility template fees, per-conversation Meta charges, and BSP platform surcharges, not just the headline rupee-per-message quote on the BSP marketing page. The true monthly run-rate is usually 40-60% above the headline number once utility templates and conversation fees are included.

  2. 02

    Deliverability + Meta template approval

Median template approval times observed across our deployments (we submit at least one template per week per BSP for ongoing benchmarking), and the spam-folder rate when broadcasting to clean Indian phone-number pools. Phone-pool quality is a function of opt-in hygiene more than BSP choice, but the BSPs' template-coaching layers materially affect first-time approval rates.

  3. 03

Lock-in, data portability, and integration depth

Can you export your contact list, conversation history, and approved templates without paying a ransom or waiting on support? Which Indian CRMs (Zoho, LeadSquared, Sell.do, Tranquil) are native versus Zapier-bridged? What happens to your number and your Meta Business Manager profile on cancellation? These are the questions that determine whether you can leave the BSP in 2027 if you need to.

How we'd pick a BSP for you (the differentiation section)

  1. 01

We start from your stack, not the BSP roadmap

If you're Shopify-native and selling primarily in INR, Interakt usually wins on integration depth and India-localised billing. If you're broadcasting above 200K messages/mo, AiSensy's volume discounts, multi-agent chat, and broadcast-template authoring win. If you need the strongest mobile shared-inbox UX for a multi-agent retail team, WATI wins. We tell you upfront which one fits, and we tell you upfront the cases where none of the three are the right call (small-batch utility, regulated lending, or Cloud-API-direct candidates).

  2. 02

We own the AI + CRM layer above the BSP

The Growth Engine sits on top of WATI, Interakt, AiSensy, Gallabox, DoubleTick, or WhatsApp Cloud API direct. The underlying messaging layer is interchangeable. We build the AI qualifier, the routing rules, the CRM sync, the per-channel dashboards, and the DPDP-compliant opt-in flows. The BSP itself becomes a pipe: you can swap it in 10-14 days if pricing or product roadmap shifts on you, without rebuilding any of the orchestration logic above.

  3. 03

We never take a referral fee from any BSP

Every other agency writing a WATI vs Interakt vs AiSensy comparison gets paid a referral fee or revenue-share by the BSP they recommend. We bill you for the Growth Engine build only: flat scope, flat fee, no BSP kickback. That's why the comparison rows above are written honestly: we have nothing to defend, no quarterly partner-tier targets to hit, and no contractual incentive to push one BSP over another. The audit recommendation is what's actually best for your stack and volume.

Before you pick a BSP: calculate what slow follow-up is costing you

BSP choice barely moves the needle if leads sit unread for 9 hours. The missed-lead cost calculator quantifies the leak in INR using your monthly volume + deal value, then maps the gap closure to a Growth Engine deployment timeline. Quantify the leak first; choose the BSP second.

Book a 20-min call
I had three BSP quotes on my desk and four agencies telling me each was best. Naavim spent 20 minutes on a call, looked at our actual broadcast pattern, told me one of the three was wrong for us and the other two were a coin-flip. That was the first BSP conversation I'd ever had that wasn't a sales pitch, so we hired them to build the layer on top instead.

WATI vs Interakt vs AiSensy: the questions Indian buyers ask

  • Which BSP is cheapest for Indian D2C brands at 50,000 messages/month?
Headline: WATI and Interakt are within a couple of paise per message on marketing templates; AiSensy is roughly 20% higher per marketing message at that volume. But once you add utility messages and platform fees, the gap narrows, and AiSensy's volume discounts kick in above 200K/mo. The right answer depends on your marketing-to-utility ratio, which we map in the 20-minute audit.
  • Can Naavim deploy the Growth Engine on a BSP we already use?
Yes. The Growth Engine is BSP-agnostic. We've shipped on WATI, Interakt, AiSensy, Gallabox, DoubleTick, and WhatsApp Cloud API direct. If your existing BSP works, we keep it and wire the AI capture, CRM sync, and dashboard layer on top. We only recommend a migration when the BSP itself is the bottleneck.
  • What about WATI 2.0: does it change the comparison?
WATI 2.0 (the Periscope-era rebuild) materially improved the shared-inbox mobile UX and broker/multi-agent role permissions, which is why WATI still wins for mid-market D2C and retail with 5+ agent teams. It did not move the pricing rows. We update this page quarterly as the three providers ship.
  • What about Interakt's Bombay roots: does Indian ownership matter?
Interakt was acquired by Haptik (a Jio company) in 2021 and operates fully out of India. The practical impact: support is IST-aligned, billing is in INR with GST invoicing baked in, and the Shopify/Razorpay integrations were prioritised over Stripe. For Indian SMBs that's a real advantage; for global SaaS it's neutral.
  • What about AiSensy's claimed 210,000+ businesses: does scale change deliverability?
Scale matters less than your sender phone-number reputation. AiSensy's larger pool means more shared-template ecosystems to learn from, which speeds approvals. But your broadcast deliverability is mostly a function of your opt-in hygiene and template type, and that's a process problem the Growth Engine fixes regardless of BSP.
  • When should we NOT use any of these three?
Two cases. First, if you only send small-batch utility messages (OTPs, order updates) at low volume, Twilio direct or Meta Cloud API direct is usually cheaper and the BSP overhead isn't worth it. Second, if you're a regulated industry (lending, insurance) needing dedicated dual-DLT + WhatsApp compliance, you may need a specialist BSP we'd nominate during the audit.
  • Do you take a referral fee from any BSP?
No. That is the entire point of this page. We bill you for the implementation only. The BSP bills you direct for messaging. We have no incentive to push WATI over Interakt over AiSensy, only to pick the one that actually fits your stack and volume.
  • How long does a BSP migration take if we pick the wrong one?
10-14 days end-to-end if your contacts are clean and your templates are documented. The Growth Engine build runs in parallel, so go-live is the same 14-day timeline as a fresh deployment. We've migrated 7 brands between BSPs in the last 12 months; none lost a message in flight.
